Hi everyone,

Long time lurker, and have posted a bit in the past. New account however for additional privacy.
Wanted to say I have been chatting with @SouthBay612 a lot privately, great guy and very very helpful. Thanks Southbay for all the information so far.

So I finally decided to get the lig cut and alloderm graft surgery. I was also given 10ccs of PMMA (bellafill).
This procedure was done during the first week of December, hitting my 3 week mark now.

These were my pre-op stats:
EL: 6.7"
EG: 5.5"

Initial thoughts:
My dick and scrotum looked like they went 10 rounds in a UFC ring the following day.
Dr. Liu mentioned it was more bruising than he would have liked to see, but to give it time. Over the course of the next couple of week everything started to get back to normal coloring, no more black/dark red skin everywhere. The immediate girth gains was awesome, but of course it shrank down as swelling went away.

I didn't record my FG measurement (stupid I know. I know I have it somewhere from yrs past. But it was probably around 4-4.5"?)
post-op FG is now: ~5.75"
post-op EG: ~6.4"

My major concern at the moment is my erect length.. I seem to have actually lost a whole inch!!!
I feel very defeated, scared and frustrated. I don't know what to do
Dr. Liu has me pulling on it daily, 6 sets of 4 reps, 30 seconds each. So far nothing has changed.
I keep praying it's due to my erection quality just not being there yet...however I still wake up through out the night with very hard erections and I have looked at porn to get as hard as I can to test it...and I'm still about an inch shorter than I used to be. I pray this hasn't turned into a huge mistake. I'm starting to wish I had only done the alloderm itself and avoided the lig cut.
I used to hang a lot over the past 6 years, figured having the ligs cut would give a little boost. Have a longer flaccid hang and stay where I was with my EL. That would have been totally fine.
But nowhere in my mind did I ever think something like this would happen. I also have a little section right beneath the glans on the right side that has seemingly lost feeling. The skin is a little tougher now and it's more or less numb to the touch. It isn't a large area, so at the end of the day it's probably not the end of the world. But yea, with everything adding up and almost a month after surgery...I'm pretty depressed :(

I do want to say that Dr Liu has been very helpful and extremely pleasant to work with. He's very attentive and always available to chat via the medical app he connects to you with.

Anyways... just wanted to share my story so far. Looking for answers or help, anything to give me hope that I didn't just ruin my dick :(

Happy holidays everyone..

I wouldn't freak out yet. Skiman also used Dr Liu but only had the graft done and also lost length, at least initially. I think once the stitches dissolve it will allow you to stretch it out better. Usually takes around 4+ weeks for them to dissolve. It's still very early in the process.

ou812 is right, surgical procedures (like grafts) do have a longer window of recovery, and your penis is dealing with swelling, stitches, and such. I would disregard any sort of "length loss" as a symptom of being pretty fresh off the surgical table (3 weeks is relatively early for these kinds of procedures).

You will also have a stretching regimen that comes with Ligamentolysis down the road, which will help expedite your return to length.

For now just follow the Doctor's orders and let it rest. Happy Holidays.

Ok, I appreciate the feedback. Trying to keep my nerves calm and just continue pulling as the Dr mentioned
One thing that I just noticed this evening is my penis shaft in multiple places makes a "squishy/crunchy feel when I squeeze it.
Hard to explain, but I can squeeze the top or sides of it, like a really large pinch between my index finger and thumb...and I can "feel" this weird squish...it's really odd. Just started happening

There's also a stinging pain now when I press into the left side of the shaft. This stinging pain can also just come out of nowhere at times
Been a month now since surgery.

Has anyone that's gotten alloderm experienced this? @SouthBay612 perhaps?

Quiet in here lol

Here's an update, I went and saw Dr Liu again. He says he wasn't sure why there was a crunchy sound when I pressed it.. kind of liquid filled feeling but he said it could be a number of things from blood to air, etc. He said not to worry though and that everything looked great. I picked up the weighted sleeve and have been using that for a minimum of 5 hours every day at 2 1/2 pounds. As I mentioned before I am a seasoned Hanger though, I've gotten up to 20 lb before. So I'm hoping that 5 hours minimum every day for the next couple months gets my length back but I'm also a bit unsure. I imagine it will since the ligaments have been cut and the main ligament has been severed down 90%

Still feels a bit tough to the touch, and my skin isn't that movable. When masturbating before the surgery I'd be able to move the skin up and down more easily. Now it almost feels like my top layer of skin is attached to the alloderm, not sure if that's scar tissue or what. I hope that goes back to normal though. My circ scar, the dark line around the shaft, seems tougher as well.

I do think I've gotten some length back though, getting back to 6" so I think I've gotten a quarter of an Inch back over the past couple weeks. 3/4" to go!

Hang in there VT86, I’m a year plus out and still feel like I’m recovering. As the Alloderm gets more integrated you will start to get your length back.

do you think the retraction is from the lig cut, graft or PMMA?

My guess would be the graft and/or PMMA -- the new girth may cause an artificial retraction (in other words, no actual anatomical length loss, just the presence & weight of implanted material that sort of inhibits full retraction). This will normalize (especially since the ligament has been severed) and even exceed your original measurements depending on how committed you are to the prescribed (stretching) routine as well as how responsive your body is to the process/healing/recovery.

Be sure the traction program (stretching, etc.) is done per Doctor's Orders and not some regimen you found online by an armchair stranger. Good luck :)

Please allow me to address some of the questions regarding ligament cut and retraction. I do not detach the suspensory ligaments of the penis 100% because of the risk of instability of the penis. In some patients this is not a concern and they are not bothered by it. In others, it is a concern because it can be an issue during sexual intercourse. The other concern which is seldom addressed to is the increased risk of damage to the sensory nerves and blood vessels going into the penis. The chances of this happening is small but it is very troublesome when this happens.
When the suspensory ligaments are divided there is a tendency for the cut ends to re-attach. This is prevented by putting something in between the cut ends. The best material for this purpose is from the surrounding tissues. This is done routinely and re-attachment is almost never seen. However, it is possible for the cut ends to attach to the surrounding tissues which can cause restriction of movement and therefore can cause retraction and "shortening" of the penis. This is why I emphasize to the patients that they have to "pull" the penis outwards to prevent this from happening. This has to be done starting the next day after surgery for at least 6 times a day every day for a period of 3-6 months.
Immediately after surgery. the penis appears to be shorter because of the swelling which restricts the movement of the penis and cause retraction. Again the importance of "pulling"
Another common concern the patients have is that they have pain on erection. This is common and usually disappear after about 2 weeks. The pain can result in a less than full erection and is another reason for a temporary "loss of length"
I hope the above answers some of your questions. If not, feel free to contact me at 650-697-8888 or email me at This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.. For my patients, best to contact me through the pMD app you have.

Best wishes to all!
