Such a good forum. You are doing a brilliant job of keeping it as true as possible. Keep the good work. I have been a happy camper after researching here and making my decision..
cheers

i totally agree - I never would\'ve posted what I did here if I hadn\'t seen how the mods keep up this board. Guys talking about their Dick issues & posting pics is kind of a troll magnet...amazing how you keep it free of that.

Did any of you - SO or Hoddle, etc... find out what the story was behind this guy? Did you email him?

The other thing I noticed is that he\'s calling his reaction \"autoimmune\" when a reaction to PMMA would be just \"immune\" or allergic or something like that. Autoimmune is like MS or Lupus -- i.e., it implies that the body is attacking one\'s own tissue. If your body is attacking a foreign particle - from a virus to pollen to PMMA - it is essentially allergic or immune. There were some complaints of silicone breast implants leading to autoimmune disorders in the 1970s and 1980s but those claims (i think) were found to be invalid & due to bad science / mass panic.

We can\'t email him. Shills use disposable email accounts, hence we have a zero tolerance rule against using them.

The story behind it is quite simple in my opinion. It was done out of spite, plain and simple. The person we very, very strongly suspect is behind it has done it several times in the past. He knows he\'ll get caught and goes to no real effort no to. The only possible motivation behind such posts can be to try and scare people.

I despise shills of any description, but at least those who post false testimony to promote a procedure are financially motivated. This guys motivation is spite for another Dr, for his patients and this forum.

Oh ok - Thanks. I didn\'t realize there was history with a specific person. I figured it was 90% false, but I guess if there was a even small chance that it was true, I was wondering what the story was really. Sounds like it\'s made up entirely.

That\'s why he still does it. Even though we ban him for registering in a way that only shills register and makes it clear he wont show any proof or give any details, he knows there will always be a lingering doubt in the back of our readers minds that it could be true.

Smalljay, I sort of agreed with you - which is why I posted what I did - but I guess they have a history with a particular person which predates me being here. I read all of his posts, and there a couple things he mentioned that didn\'t add up...though there could be reasons for it.

First, he said he emailed another member in the forum who \"did not reply to his messages\" - but he posted this on the same day that he registered based on the registration time stamp and the post time stamp. Did he think Darkstaff (I assume this is who he was talking about) was going to reply immediately? The only answer is it\'s possibly another screen name for an existing poster who DID email darkstaff, and darkstaff didn\'t reply. He hasn\'t been on since Nov 11. If Darkstaff has a PM, that would make things more credible too - but if it was from this guy - it makes no sense that he couldn\'t wait more than a day to make a comment like that.

He might be using a proxy server because he has another name on here & doesn\'t want to out himself to the mods. I used to be on another plastic surgery board...and that board was very hostile toward people with negative feedback about certain doctors...and if you said anything negative about a doctor, everyone would comb through your old posts and pick you apart. However, on this board, I think the opposite is true - people with negative outcomes are encouraged to post & nobody really jumps all over them.

The \"autoimmune\" statement is not accurate, medically...though maybe he has it confused.

The legal issue, if it is real, is probably that he wouldn\'t want to be sued for making negative statements...not that he was planning to sue Dr. C (no lawyer would take that case - you can\'t even sue an american plastic surgeon unless you are killed, basically - juries have no sympathy for plastic surgery patients an malpractice carriers know this - they won\'t settle & just wait for you to lose 30k in legal fees and court costs) - but See this case when the doctor sued the patient for reviews. He might be referring to that kind of suit. Dr. C lives in the USA, so he could sue this patient if the claims were libelous.

Anyway, enough of me playing CSI PhalloBoards. I think the bottom line is - if he hasn\'t emailed the mods to try to get help (if he\'s really in desperate need of help) and to get un-banned - AND they have history of someone doing this before - then it\'s likely it is all fake.

You can never be 100% certain, but that\'s why he does it. But regardless of whether he\'s a shill or not (he is), the moment anyone registers in the way he did, I\'ll ban them. We make the rules very clear and they are there for good reason. They protect our members and work very well, as long as members don\'t dream up innocent reasons why someone would try and get around them .

Anyway common sense tells you he\'s a shill and if he isn\'t he\'ll register again and post photo\'s etc. Wouldn\'t you do that if you were genuine?

As Hoddle has said, users that register with dispensable email addresses and/or use proxy servers will be banned without exceptions. Nothing prevents them to register again in a transparent manner, in agreement with the rules of the forum.

If he was NOT a shill, he could have PM\'ed the mods and told them his real story. I believe one can still receive and send PMs if banned, Am I correct? if I am wrong, then ignore my comment.

I also agree with H10, if he was real he would have re registered and told us his real story, I know I ould have!....H10 is right!

And if I might add, he is a piece of shit for lying about something like this! I don\'t have PMMA and it pissed me off! I could imagine anyone with PMMA reading this and their heart just stopping for a second, anyways I am glad he was fake and gone! Good work Hoddle!!!

There isn\'t anything more I can add that hasn\'t already been said about the justification of his ban.

In the 0.001% chance he\'s an authentic case, he can email me in confidence, photos & all to This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. ... an email address that\'s scattered all throughout this forum and isn\'t hard to find.
