Plenty of women have Body Dysmorphic Disorder(BDD) too. And in the facial cosmetic area we are usually more worried about guys than girls because often they do want more than is possible and give too much importance to their perceived aesthetic flaw. The penis should not be any different to any other part of the body in wanting improvement and guys wanting improvement should not be viewed any differently.
But there are guys, and we get them posting on this forum, who feel their lives are totally ruined because of the size or their smallish but totally normal penis. There are worse things. Maybe you could be paralysed and not be able to feel or use your penis. You could have one of a thousand miserable diseases or be trapped in Syria or Yemen...But telling anyone that their concerns are relatively unimportant does not help them either. The psychologist know that for lots of things there is no great way to improve what the person wants and helping them cope with what they have gives good results with low risk.
What we are doing with
Calibre and our publications is to show there are options to get some improvement with relatively low risk. Also to show to the medical world that there is no reason to look at augmentation in this area any differently than anywhere else. But it will be a slow process. But oneway I am sure we will see a scene in a movie where a guy is going in to get a penis augmentation. It will probably be a comedy and made fun of the first time. But eventually it will be available like breast augmentation is for women.
