Plastic product cause cancer, our foods may attribute to cancer, our soil and air we breath may cause cancer, the sun light causes skin cancer.....So many things can cause cancer...

As far as we know, as SO had elaborated, There is not a documented case of PMMA causing cancer and it has been used for many years in the body in general...

It is possible PMMA MAY one day cause cancer in some way, but there is no point in causing a concern to people on this board who had PMMA in their penises. It is a done deal, why rain on our parade. Most or all of the PMMA patients weighed in the risks and made their decision....Let\'s enjoy our PMMA dicks for now and if it goes south later one, I am sure some one will say \"I told you so\"

Well I think it\'s important to raise all possibilities of risks & complications that haven\'t already been discussed before (or to elaborate on one\'s that have been raised before), but to do so both objectively and tastefully. I think Xander86 brings up legitimate concerns, but maybe it wasn\'t as wise to equate PMMA with concern when no such record of it exists prior. I encourage discussion on this matter if members can bring insight, sources, and evidence to the table...otherwise mere speculation ends up \"raining on people\'s parades\" as Mustang pointed out.

What I am saying is inflammation is a cause of cancer, and guys who have chronic inflammation after PMMA are at risk of cancer. The inflammation caused by the body\'s reaction by prolong periods causes the cells to mutate and become malignant. That\'s why stressed out people, people working night jobs for many years are at a higher risk of cancer. It has nothing to do with me saying PMMA causes cancer, but the inflammation. You can\'t say no one has got cancer from PMMA, you would need to go to every individual around the world and investigate it. I think guys who already have PMMA are biased and don\'t want anything negative said about it.


Personally, I think PMMA is safe, but if I was injected with it and had permanent chronic inflammation I know I would have a higher risk of getting cancer in that area. Just like peanuts, a lot of people can eat them with no dangerous effects but for maybe that 1 of 200, there body reacts differently to something that normally has no effect.

My Urologist who is doing my procedure on Monday also was quite worried about inflammation and cancer.

Asbestos does not cause cancer, it induces a reaction in our bodies (including inflammation) that causes the cancer.

It\'s our bodies reaction to the foreign material that is unfortunately the culprit - not the material itself.

This is one of the reasons I\'m going to get my lump removed, but it is causing my entire penis to be swollen, almost 24x7

I think usually the PMMA swelling is only after sex ... so I\'m not as worried about the steady state of PMMA.

For PMMA patients ... I wonder if it would be prudent to have a Urologist check your junk once a year -- just for safety sake?

With Asbestos it would cause constant chronic inflammation 24x7 ... so if our penises are just getting inflamed after sex.. then maybe its much less often than Asbestos, so less risk
