I think you are looking at this like the doctor is using a cannula in the same manner one would in liposuction, where there is a lot of fast, hard jabbing. This is not that way. At all. It is a lot more delicate than that. I myself do not like needles, do not like giving blood, do not like getting shots, but I had no problem with this at all.

Certainly, there is going to be some trauma. It is just the nature of the beast and it is a natural reaction. If you are wanting specifics, I believe there are a few youtube videos that show the procedure. Go search these out and they will probably clarify things for you.

The only surgery i have ever had done was toenail removals.. You cant feel the pain but you can tell they\'re yanking that sucker out.. i got that same feeling as hearing nails on a chalkboard. Hoping I can man up and just take the jump.

You have the option of closing your eyes or watching as little as possible.
I say go that route.

You\'re laying down, and they\'ll adjust the chair to your comfort - so just look out the window or up at the ceiling. The steroid and ativan makes me a little loopy so I end up blabbing the whole time to wade. I asked him if other guys talk this much, and he joked \"a lot of guys just go to sleep - and those are GREAT\" - haha.

Just to add - I had 90 minute penile plication surgery under general anesthesia at a hospital. They cut the skin around teh top of the shaft, rolled down the skin, and put permanent Sutures in there. My Dick hurt for a month...some times so bad I thought I was going to have to go to the ER for morphine (vicodin didn\'t work). I couldn\'t pee without spraying the entire bathroom (i had to pee in the shower) because of how swollen it was...for 2-3 weeks. The pain in one of my internal stitches lasted a FULL year...

Now, by contrast...this was uncomfortable for 1-2 days with a \"beat up\" feeling... bruised - like. There was no pain after day 3, and what pain there was prior was mild and resolved easily with advil. After 7 days, everything was completely healed, the bruises were gone, and it was done. The injection sites were closed up, but one or two of them had a Nodule that resolved after a month or two. By comparison, this is nothing to \"real\" penis surgery. It\'s awkward and uncomfortable, but they do the best they can to not make it hurt.

I just had my third round. Anticipation is worse than the procedure...and when the ativan kicks in, you forget what they are even doing.

I felt more pin pricks and pulling than the first 2, because he was trying to get underneath the collagen. The lidocaine also wore off a few times. So, he had to inject that (which stings for a minute). So, this time was more annoying, but as usual most of the annoyances are after the procedure (the dripping, keeping it stretched, getting Erect at night with my stretcher still on and getting stuck in the stretcher....etc... see my log...)

Ativan takes the edge off of this, and/or you can take other things as well if you are prescribed them at home (gabapentin, vicodin - all raise your pain threshold).

Well, now that it\'s 2 weeks out from R3, I can definitely say my feeling is that the procedure itself is the easiest part... the aftercare and anxious anticipation of results, seeing emerging nodules, etc...is much more difficult to deal with (for me). This was the hardest round, possibly because there was no steroid shot so I got a lot more swelling and discomfort, but maybe it\'ll be more growth.

I hate the waiting period too cuz it tends to look perfect for a while - then turns ugly - then turns back to being ok.

well I can just say that each round is very different, in my experience it was round one great, round two painful, round 3 really painful and bloody
