Brief Intense Sharp pains 1 wk post pmma 9 years 11 months ago #1282711312

I did a search for sharp pain, but just \"sharp\" things and \"pain\" came up ... 3 days ago, I had a lot of sharp pain on my right side - and so I cleaned the area with hibiclens and started using bactroban (rx antibiotic cream) on the entry points since they were developing nodules. Somehow, all 6 entry points have nodules to some extent, but the larger ones are on the right - and this is where the random sharp / stabbing pain is. With the bactroban on, the pain is gone... but I can\'t understand why that would be - there\'s no infection here. It\'s not constant - it just comes out of nowhere - is very intense - and goes away very quickly. nothing is red. Nothing is really raised that high ... the nodules are not big. I think it might be different when Erect, but my Dick is so sensitive lately, palpating it Erect is too painful.

Did anyone else have sharp / shooting pain near nodules or just in general in the first few weeks?

I did. I experienced sharp pain during the constriction of intercourse for the first few weeks with both rounds I\'ve had done.

It went away with me before I knew it.

Hi Restoration,

The explanation for this pain could be from a tiny skin nerve has been either injected or surrounded by PMMA (e.g. a nodule), which compresses it. Usually, these tiny nerves \"withdraw\" from areas of compression, e.g. neighboring nerves take over their duty in this area. So, from scar formation we know, that pain can last for 6 months - until the compressed area softens and thereby frees this nerve.

There was one guy from UK \"Zol\" who had pain or odd sensation esp. in an area where there is clumping of pmma beads (more dense collagen) i.e. a nodule or a lump which can compress a tiny skin nerve .

What he did:- Massaging in a hot bath once a day for 2 wks , imo just give it time until the compressed area softens.

You can read this info. starting from post #29 +> :-

Great info - thanks guys... I really appreciate it! Looks like a few guys in that thread had this - justabitmore and even SO a little bit - so that\'s good to know it\'s not uncommon.

I have some of those gel packs that might be easier than a hot bath just w/ the logistics of my bathroom....what do you think? I can put a wet hot towel under it and massage... just sitting in the bath isn\'t really going to work well here. I even used my sonicare toothbrush (not the bristle part) to massage it, but that might be too intense.

I have to admit I was thinking \"stop complaining about a dozen problems in your first two weeks\" before posting stuff like this, but you guys are have been great - seriously. This procedure can definitely be a little nerve wracking when you have pain / nodules / ED...etc... vs. some of the journals on here where people are doing perfectly in a few days (or hours - sizemic!)

wow - Zol\'s posts like # 20 and #22 are very close to what I am experiencing - even down to the sexual thing in #22 - I just had the same thing happen! (wasn\'t sure I wanted to admit it yet - but yes a BJ wasn\'t so fun). I had the same problem he did to localize it.. but mine isn\'t as frequent. And, we\'re on the same day basically. wow- funny how this works. He got it semi-chronically...which sucks - but the fact it went away (for him and everyone else) is great. I just have to get these damn lumps to flatten out or disappear. Someone might easily assume I have HPV/genital warts here... though they aren\'t like that from a textbook sense at all, it\'s just what I think the reaction could be to nonspecific lumps.

Lemperle said it could go out to 6 months - yikes... I wonder if stretching / extending (lightly - not to max EL) would be beneficial or harmful.
