TOPIC: Question for guys w/ bad experiences - how do you deal with it?

Wow hoddle - thank you so much for that. I had no idea you lost so much skin - I knew you had a long bad FG story. My thumb is roughly 1\" - so in the pic on the left, I\'d estimate he took about 1\".

How long did it take to get your Erection straight? Mine curves to the right because it\'s longer on the left (I\'m not sure if you lost skin more symmetrically - or if you had this issue). Did you do anything special to get it to stretch back?

My doc thought that I wouldn\'t have a curve because the tunica is responsible for the curve, not the skin... but he did say something briefly about skin expanders. Then, he just kind of dropped the subject and said something else.

I think what I meant by \"vertical scar\" was probably not worded well. I was trying to say he pinched the skin up like this shape __||__ and sutured the || area rather than when you get a little mole taken out or something and they just do _~_ Sutures (also what my derm did for the initial incision that wouldn\'t close). This \"vertical\" ridge is just what I saw right immediately post op...and it looked pretty rough. It looks better now, even 48h post. He wanted to try his best to ensure no wound separation...and now I need to treat this thing like a Faberge egg until the first 1-2 months where closure happens. I\'ve seen women\'s tummy tucks come open on day 20 on RealSelf... at least I have buried Monocryl Sutures (though I think they do too)...which lose 1/2 strength at 1 week and then dissapear at 3 months.

I need to find the \"ultimate guide to preventing wound separation\" somewhere.

As I said I lost all the inner skin. Actually a nurse cut if off with scissors! I should point out it was black, dead skin, she didn\'t just randomly decide to do it.

I had some scar tissue adhesions which prevent my Erection being straight. But the skin stretched in a matter of weeks. You certainly wont need skin expanders. Just a simple home made T-tape will do. That\'s if you need anything at all. In your case, some extended periods of vacuum pumping will probably do the trick as well.

But I wouldn\'t do anything for a few months. Make sure the scar has fully healed before applying an tension. It\'s not one of those things that is you leave it, it will get worse. In fact quite the opposite, as even if you do nothing to aid the stretching, it will start to stretch by itself anyway, as there will naturally be tension on the side that is shorter, hence then bend.

Oh yeah, you\'re uncut - I think I read the sentence wrong. That\'s good it grew back. I mean, most parts of the body need grafts to fill in these things, but I guess the penis can expand in a different way. I\'ve mentally prepared to wait the 4-6 mos necessary this time. I need to just go back to my 12/2013 mindset and focus on other things (actually back then I was reading this board every day planning PMMA...once I healed)

my dr had me lightly massage the skin Flaccid to prevent the scar tissue adhesions which can potentially prevent the skin from moving over the shaft. Also, the nerves are usually the last to grow back so some numbness will be normal in the interim, it should not be pain though. Looks very good ! Rest and relax the hard part is over !

Restoration your Sutures are way cleaner than mine. Mine was a mess compared to yours but I had a giant mass that had to be pulled out that had a blood and nerve supply. You will have no problems with that, I don\'t even have much left to notice, it is amazing what the body does on it\'s own. I had the opposite where I lost 2\" of Girth and was worried about my skin looking like a bag Hanging around my shaft - but I don\'t even have that. The skin there is supper stretchy and it contracts just as well - just think how many different sizes your Dick is in a day. I would be envious of that cut. I would not worry about anything and just let it heal. I also concur about being tempted helping it along with expanders and stretching. Just leave it alone and you will get a cleaner heal.

Thanks a lot guys! I feel much better with that input. This has been a crazy ride since late march. I know I was always one of the more anxious board members even in R1 - so I really appreciate that you haven\'t said \"fuck off\" already (maybe some did privately).

In my first round, I had that beef jerky penis a few days after my PMMA and kinda freaked. A few people posted that they had similar distortions too (that normalized) - which made me feel a lot better. This board has been really helpful. At the time, wade fixed it and it was perfect the next day (you can see it in the early part of my journal - it went from beef jerky to a 100% normal penis).

Anyway, I\'m glad you all think the Sutures look good and it will be ok in the long run. My doc has a mild sense of humor about all this. He said \"well it\'s all fixed now so you can go back to mexico or whatever insane place and put more back in!\" I think he\'s still a little bit mad that I did this when he explicitly forbade me from having injections of any kind. But, I guess he did a good job - just more excised than I thought (and the PMMA was like an iceberg...I could only feel the hard exterior portion of the underside Nodule - but the thing went 3/4\" deep!). Anyway, this kind of surgeon isn\'t really the type to spend 3 hours dissecting PMMA out for cosmetic reasons... he probably removed a prostate earlier in the day. He\'s purely a medical Urologist with more focus on men. I felt like he was maybe too aggressive due to his background, but it sounds like it\'ll be okay. I just trusted him since he\'s basically one of the top male uro specialists, and he sees 100 penises a month with all kinds of problems. I\'ll keep you all posted how it comes together and heals.
