TOPIC: Embarrassing Problem / STD

Embarrassing Problem / STD 9 years 7 months ago #1284100256

Since I\'ve been getting PMMA treatments & getting more confident w/ the new penis, I am turning into a bit of a man-slut. So, last night I discovered some incredibly itchy red bumps on the left side of my inner thigh, and it was basically textbook scabies. It\'s disgusting...but I suppose it was only a matter of time. Anyway, I took Ivermectin tablets and used 5% Permethrin for 10 hours. I don\'t even know if it is gone...but it should be. I had to do like 4 loads of laundry, and that\'s only for now. There is so much insane (misleading, neurotic, and bad) advice online - it wasn\'t a fun night last night.

The problem is (assuming the scabies is even gone) - now I have these disgusting red marks all over. And, I don\'t know how to get rid of them. I have locoid (hydrocortisone) but I\'m not sure if it\'s going to work well. The skin is quite irritated, and I think it might take up to a month to go away on their own - but I have had a trip planned for months to my favorite destination (where the locals are also my favorite...) very very soon!

So, I am just curious if anyone has dealt with this or if you have advice on treating the red marks. Feel free to PM me if you don\'t want your STD history on the board. I can\'t deal with the crazy ass comments on topix.com with people drinking borax and bathing in lysol and bleach.

Also, I\'m a little worried I have this major inflammatory response right by all the PMMA. Nothing happened on the shaft, but it\'s very very close.

I also feel totally disgusting as a side note. And I probably gave it to people since the incubation is 4 weeks.

I think this thread brings up another interesting topic which could be a thread in itself. I can relate to the man-slut conversion. I went from denying most opportunities, now, despite not being where I want to be length-wise, I\'m far more aggressive and have been having more sex than I did in the past...not on man-slut level but slowly working my way there.

The risk with some of us (not all) is increased size --> increased sexual confidence --> more active in pursuing sexual relations --> elevated risk/exposure to STDs.

Let\'s be careful guys.

Yeah, it is a bit of a double edged sword, huh? I am always safe, but unfortunately this can be acquired through skin contact alone. I can\'t remember the poster, but I think he said he had sex w/ 120 women in a couple years since PMMA. For me, I had a 4 year period of extreme self consciousness because I had a cocktail shrimp penis (thanks peyronies!) So now that I am a little more active...the odds will just not be in my favor STD wise. It\'s fairly easy to prevent HIV but this kind of thing is extremely hard to prevent...even though I am nowhere near Mr. 120, it\'s just too contagious. I guess I\'m gonna have to have sex in this

I can\'t use the extender either bc I am not sure if there are \"mites\" on there or whatever... and I used it every day. I had a little more resistance this time with length...maybe cuz it was 30% - not sure. But I don\'t get to the full 6\" EL every time. Strangely, I do get 6.5 BPEL though, regardless. I think the PMMA around the base makes it hard to extend forward or something.

Eh, this happens to the best of us, and not just from being sluts--I had a bf once in college who brought it back from some hostel he stayed at in Germany. It\'s not a big deal. Just use the Permethrin properly and you\'ll be good to go. Moreover, to be a gay man who enjoys a reasonable amount of sex in this life is to accept the fact that skin-to-skin contact communicable STIs are a fixed cost you can\'t really avoid . . .

Thanks Jake - yea it\'s amazing how gross you can feel when you get something like scabies. It sounds like some biblical plague or something people in a third world country with no clean water get. But, unfortunately it\'s not hard to get if you\'re sexually active (and I avoided it for 15+ years...my one friend who had it just laughed his head off when I called for advice). I\'m surprised people don\'t hear about it more. I guess it\'s non-fatal and embarrassing enough that nobody wants to talk about it. Maybe cuz it rhymes with Rabies? It needs better PR. I should call the Susan G Komen foundation. I think permethrin and ivermectin should do it + I will do one more at 7 days post. I\'m just pissed about the red marks...they are pretty hard to miss. I had corrective surgery + 2 rounds of PMMA and was very excited to use the new equipment on my trip, and I am not supposed to be contagious now, but the red marks are there. I am going to have to buy dermablend concealer for my inner thigh...haha... I\'m gonna be sitting in my hotel room moisturizing, applying (\"in layers\"), and putting on that setting powder...this was not part of the vacation plan... lol oh well. (Then, you know how it goes - after all the preparation I won\'t get laid anyway).

Hey buddy, if it appears in multiple places on your body, try something systemic. Something like oral benadryl, zyrtec, or claritin. Scabies works through the same function as allergens.
Edit: This is only a suggestion to make symptoms more manageable, if you\'re having serious itching, etc. I wouldn\'t recommend them as a replacement for either of the above, just as an addition.

Weird, I had scabies as a kid. I still remember the itching and how bad it was, especially at night. I really never thought of it as a STD.

I read it can be transferred in gyms and things like that. I guess kids could spread it if it was on their hands. They spread very easily. Since, you generally need skin to skin contact (though towels might transfer it) - it falls under the STD umbrella. Though, even like crabs - you can get it without sex (I know someone who swears he got it trying on pants - bc he was sex free for months.)

It was JOCK ITCH!!! Oh god ... forgot to update, but I had NO idea jock itch could get that bad. Holy crap it was nasty. I take doxycycline for acne breakouts and I think it caused fungal overgowth. The misdiagnosis was due to the excessive scratch marks. I can\'t believe how bad it is... has anyone had this?
