Greetings Meeb from a fellow Ozi. After reading your post, I can empathise with you and try to make some comments that I hope are helpful.
While its normal for any man to have a large part of his sense of self-esteem or self-worth tied to the state of his manhood, overhearing a few people making negative comments shouldn\'t alone take you from \"a fairly confident and cheerful individual\" to \"my self esteem is 0 (negative if possible),\" unless ALL of your sense of self is downstairs, which it clearly isn\'t. So you must have other issues that you\'re not wanting to or willing to discuss, and I wish you luck and good progress with your psychologist.
Sometimes just having a qualified listener can make a big difference. I once saw a Scottish psychologist about an issue and she was amazing. She wasn\'t able to give me that much advice, or tell me much that I didn\'t already know, yet she was a good psychologist and the few sessions I had with her were very cathartic and helpful. I was finally able to make changes to my ways of thinking and be \"okay\" again.
As for your actual penis size. It\'s totally \"normal\", so at least 50% of all men in the world share the same size as you!
Many people try to feel better in themselves by putting others down. This is a very common practice, but it only provides short-term relief because they have not at all addressed their own issue(s). Instead they\'ve taken the easy way out by projecting onto someone else. I have experienced this many times, often from people who are jealous of my own success, or from people who are simply negative about themselves and life and the only way they know is to put others down. Many people do this quite unconsciously.
So its helpful to know that the comments these people have made, are not really a reflection on you. In fact some of these people may even be smaller than you (assuming they are males). Some could even be stuffing socks down their pants. There are several methods you can employ to boost your sense of confidence and self-esteem that will make you far less reactionary when it comes to how much emotion you give to the opinions of \"others\". You\'d be surprised how many people say they don\'t care what other people think, but with some simply observation its easy to see that they are actually very concerned about what others think - some are even obsessed about it.
As for the bulge in your pants. Many men are above average yet show no bulge in their pants. Ask yourself certain questions - What are you trying to prove? Who are you wanting to impress? Will a bigger bulge in my pants really help? Do what you want to make yourself bigger downstairs, but keep in mind that this is only one part. Don\'t ignore other aspects of your physical or mental self.
If you are wanting a meaningful relationship with a nice girl, as opposed to hitting the clubs and finding a fuck buddy, then you should appreciate that the vast majority of women are far more concerned about your personality, your looks and general physique than how much bulge your packing. I know many quite beautiful women whose boyfriends are average or even below average in size. In fact, one very pretty Thai friend of mine has even joked with me about the smallish size of her partner, but she laughs and says it makes no difference; she says the sex is very enjoyable and she just loves him.
Best of luck on your journey Meeb - I will follow your progress with interest.
