In western world, medical checkups do test for common STD using blood and urine samples.

Some viruses go undetected for a while, Other STD viruses have no treatment, Some viruses stay dormant in the body and will not show in a blood test unless they are active, Bacteria on the other hand will show in a blood test. I think that there are 16 different strains of the HPV virus. It is Jungle out there.... LOL...
