TOPIC: Dr. C's Radiesse Price

Dr. C's Radiesse Price 8 years 11 months ago #1287167001

(sorry if this is in the wrong sub forum - just realized I\'m posting in the journal section)

Emailed to patients:

As a Dermatologist, Dr. Casavantes has used Radiesse, as well as many of the known temporary fillers for many years, however has limited experience with Radiuses in the penis. We offer Radiesse at $3000 for 12cc, and will begin promoting temporary fillers as an option July of 2015. This treatment yield is comparable to PMMA, which would be up .5 inches in Erect Girth gains, with the use of 12cc. During the promotional period, we will be offering a discount of $400 off each patients first procedure.

So, he\'s offering it for $250 a CC and still somehow making a profit. Why did I pay them $400-600 for a CC last year in my face? The USA price is $800-$1200. Also, Radiesse isn\'t going to last too long in the penis... a year maybe.

If they are using the same ratio as DrGreenwald, then it\'s $500 per cc. 12cc would be 6cc actual Radiessecand 6cc of whatever they use to dilute it with.

Hi, I was searching for PMMA, HA and Radiesse products and came across this site acquafiller.com/dermal-filler-pmma-permanent.html which appear to be generic versions. The site looks legit, they are shipped from US or UK and profess to be \"Quality guaranteed by ISO 9001 and ISO 22716\".

They appear to be equivalent generic versions of Artefill and Radiesse.

Has anyone had any experience with this company\'s products?

Has anyone had Radiesse with Dr. C?

This is driving me crazy, because I saw a recent post by Dr. C somewhere and now I can\'t find it... he said that in addition to PMMA, Avanti Derma offered Radiesse and Ellanse, and also HA (juvederm and voluma) and said that HA was their \"least favorite.\" So, I take it they prefer Radiesse, just wondering why and if anyone had it from them.

I\'m curious too as to why Dr. C feels HA is his least favorite choice as well. In an email exchange he said he couldn\'t guarantee a good cosmetic result with HA and that results last far less than manufacturer claims, which he clarified was one year at best case scenario. However, when speaking to another forum member, they said they had contacted him a year or so ago and he was not even using Voluma then. They stated he was only using Juvederm, which would make a lot more sense in regards to it lasting only a year because that\'s consistent with most reports of Juvederm. So I think his experience in that regard is primarily Juvederm, no Voluma.

The issues with not being able to promise a good cosmetic outcome was a bit concerning to me because the injection technique with a cannula seems to be the exact same technique as PMMA and he\'s done more than anyone in the world. Androfill, Dr. Gitt (before he died), Dr. Mata, Dr. Morgenstern, and Dr. Oates all seem to be getting good cosmetic results for the most part albeit many need a secondary injection of 5ml or so to work out any imperfections. So I am not sure why Dr. C is implying he cant get the same results despite having more experience... Maybe he makes better profit margin with PMMA or his patients just have different expectations given they are aware of PMMA and its permanence.

I can understand positions changing over time as they get more experience with different fillers and manufacturers... I gotta find the post, but it was recent and basically it was saying what they currently offer. I also forgot they also said they offer Ellanse... it was like this (paraphrasing):

PMMA - permanent
Radiesse and Ellanse - longevity
HA (juvaderm/voluma) - reversability but least favorite

so I take it that of the temp fillers they prefer Radiesse and Ellanse but want to understand the details as to why
