TOPIC: Vasectomy w/ PMMA

Vasectomy w/ PMMA 7 years 6 months ago #1293330073

Recently I got a Vasectomy. I have had 2 rounds of PMMA.
I have to admit that although I do not \"officially\" have any complications with my vasectomy, however I am in serious pain. I did lift some inappropriate weight on day 3. I am personally wondering if that may have stirred the hornets nest.

I was hoping someone could weigh in - someone who has had a vasectomy and let me know if my pain is normal. It is not an infection, the site is free of any infection etc - it is more motion based pain. Bending over, going up stairs, down stairs, sitting down, sitting up. Etc.

I had the surgery 7 days ago.

I\'m currently taking opioids for the pain.

Thanks,

Buttercups

I had a really bad vas experience also. Went to a female doctor on the recommendation of my GP. He told me that she was gentle, kind, etc. BS. She F\'d me up. Not enough numbing solution during the procedure and really poked around in my sack. I was on my back for 10 days afterwards with bruising on both sides of my crotch. It was a full 2 months before the pain receded entirely.

I would monitor it for the next couple of days, then go back to the doctor if you\'re not getting better.

Man, really sorry to hear that. It could have something to do with the PMMA, but a vasectomy can have significant complications all on its own. Like any medical procedure, there are lots of opinions out there, but you can read up on it on your own by searching \"vasectomy complications\", \"vasectomy pain\", etc.
Keep in mind that for many complications related to PMMA, they resolve with time. Like biggerbob suggested, monitor and go back to the doc in a few day if it\'s not progressing. Likely, all you\'ll get is more opioids though.

This link is to a best of craigslist article titled \"What a vasectomy is really like\".
I\'ve been considering getting one soon, but I hesitate...

Good news is that the pain subsided and I\'m basically back to normal. For a few days my ejaculates were pretty disappointing but it seems to have returned 95%.

I can live with that. Everything seems to be functional and working okay now.

Great article
Depicted precisely as it is. And as the author so astutely points out, it IS a two part procedure.

I would say a vasectomy is 10x worse than PMMA.

Not lying when I say I needed Morphine to get through the thick of it (vasectomy). I understand that some experiences may vary.

I may be biased.

Lesson learned: Pumping up my shaft with microscopic plastic beads and carrier fluids - no problem.

Cutting your nuts off: not a fun experience.
