It was for print and it was for some really small catalogue. She took me to some people with the hopes that I would be picked for fashion but i was shot down cause of my height.

We could probably apply enough criteria from the DSM to justify diagnosing half the board with a body dysmorphic disorder. Does that mean that it matters? Only if it impairs one\'s ability to function or drives someone to take threatening action.

If I want a penis which will impress women while not exceeding the limit of pleasure to the overwhelming majority of women, then call me crazy, obsessive, dysmorphic, but I will research a much as my brain power and the resources available will allow, then weigh the risks, and finally choose to act or not.

Label me what you will, but is the perception that 6.5\"-or-more Girth is difficult for most women to handle correct in your opinion?

Ummm 100 percent of the board has penile dysmorphic disorder hands down.Definition of PDD: - Thinking that your penis is not big enugh despite the measurements being in normal range. So unless you have a micro penis and thats why you are doing this then you are the only one normal mentally.

I have already advocated locking everyone up for any illegal (some even racist) fantasies. Rounding up the BDD\'s is the next step in my 5-year plan! You\'re way ahead of me, lol.

I think we pretty much all think like that, but I believe that most of us allow the desire to impress women (or whatever reason we give), to over ride our ability to think rationally. I guess the best example of that being the Elist implant. How many guys have we seen, who otherwise seem perfectly intelligent and of sound mind, went and had the Elist implant! Yet there were so many glaringly obvious red flags that should have told them not to do it. However, they didn\'t so much ignore them as sub consciously not allow themselves to see them.
I\'ve read a few times on here where members have said they are sure another member is perfectly capable of making a rational decision for themselves. This is something I disagree with and it\'s based on being around the surgical PE message board community for over decade. Let\'s face it, the Elist implant isn\'t cheap, so to afford it, you have to be doing alright in life, so that alone would suggest the guys getting it done were probably above the national average intelligence wise. Yet, almost like Lemmings they wandered of to LA to have a lump of silicone implanted in to their penis\'s.
I was part of a group of 4 guys who went to Serbia together to get scaffolds, and whilst I can\'t speak for myself, I can say the other 3 were bright, 2 of them very bright. But looking back what we did was unbelievably dumb. There were so many warning signs, which we ignored, despite all being convinced we\'d done our research and were taking the best possible course of action. The only logical explanation I have for this, is we let our completing desire cloud our judgement.

The stupidest thing I ever did 2nd to getting married, was to get the elist implant. I looked into the FFT, the alloderm and then the implant. I spent years of my savings to pay for the stupid thing, and I ignored the warning signs when I met the dr. he lied thru his teeth, I went ahead and had it done even thu my angel in my head was telling something is fucked up, I did not listen to him. AFTER I got it, I researched the net and I read all the horror stories, how stupid is that? I am not stupid by any means, I have a few degrees in science and Technology, but that did not stop me from doing it. The insecurities I had from our social programming, the comments of women in general about penis size, and the Ex\'s comments, all took away my sense of logic....I learned my lesson (may be not, I still do not know the long term effect of PMMA) and I hope people can benefit from our experiences!

I agree but not entirely. I believe penises well under average can suffer similarly (albeit not to the same degree as some might with a micropenis) and are not necessarily suffering from some sort of distorted perception of about their own size. For example, I\'m not sure someone with a 4\"NBPEL x 3.5 MSEG is dysmorphic because he believes he\'s small and is negatively affected by it.
However, that being said, there seems to be far and few of those type of guys (at least willing to admit those sizes) on this forum, so let\'s put the percentage at \"just under\" 100% lol.

Very well said Hoddle
People believe what they want to believe. We ignore all the warning signs and cling to all the positives.
Three years ago, I was one of the first to get the Elist implant. Back then, the website \"Mynewsize\" was the big PE site. I was such a babe in the woods, I had no idea that it was littered with shills and tie-ins to big clinics.
Still, there were moments when I would read an over-the-top review about how wonderful the implant was, and there would be a voice in the back of my head saying...Be careful. Of course I ignored it.
Many of the people on this site have had a complex with their penis size their whole adult life. It has been a source of embarrassment, shame, and in some cases misery...
Remedying this situation becomes not only a goal but an obsession. And when somebody offers a magical solution, we desperately want to believe it.

If a man is turning 40, and trying to gain a foothold against the effects of aging on attractivenss by getting extra-Girth, is he dysmorphic?

If a man is under 5\'8\" and living in a society which equates height with attractiveness, and seeks Girth as a way to secure an edge, is he delusional?

If a man has never been ashamed of his penis, yet gathered enough scientific evidence to conclude that a larger Girth will enhance his prowess and contribute to the overall sexual experience, does he have elements of psychosis?

We are a looking for a girthier penis, but our reasons are ALL different, and most people don\'t know why they\'re really doing it themselves, so it\'s worthless to imagine what drives another human being to do it.

Thank you for reading. Do you believe 6.5\" is the upper limit of pleasurable sex to the majority of women uninitiated to having a large Girth or a normal birth ?

IMO, both of those guys need serious psychiatric help! Your second example, if he is within the normal size range clearly needs help. He has allowed his dysfunctional psychology to cripple his life. You can rest assured he is likely to undergo serial different kinds of procedures. His problem is not in his unit it is in his head. According to the lifestyle measurements, statistically 1 of 3 men are 4.5 to 5 inches of Girth. 3 of 5 are between 4 and 5 inches. If one is in that range one should not allow it to cripple one\'s life.@bananasAlot of guys on this site have issues. Hopefully more of us will have your courage and confront them head on as you seem to be trying to do. The first step is to be honest with one's self. Well done, I hope to do the same.

I completely agree. There are some of our members who have legitimate physiological concerns and then those are ones tthat have psychological issues.I am definitely in the former category. In retrospect, as a younger man(high school) I suffered fromlow self esteem and was overly stressed with family and school issues .I believe the inability to properly confront these personal issues contributed greatly to my OCD about penis size. Of course, after years of fretting about my penis size, when I finally had the chance to have sex, this obsession (and insecurity) manifested into a poor sexual performance. Only reaffirming my greatest fear (that my penis was small). Psychologically speaking, all this served as a distraction from other (much more serious) issues in my life.
At the moment, my penis is almost 8 inches in length Erect and over 7 inches in Girth but I still don\'t see a large penis when I look in the mirror. I am now convinced I suffer fromBody dysmorphia....Just like an anorexic only sees a fat person, I see a diminutive penis. The good news is that I now have enough sense and knowledge (about penis size) to put a stop to the PMMA procedures. That being said, , I am still Jelqing and wearing an ADS in hope of getting that magical 8 inches in length (NBP).Human psychology is a complicated thing indeed.

Only reaffirming my greatest fear (that my penis was small).

Why is that your greatest fear?

I have wondered if, in my case, wanting a larger penis symbolizes the contest for lost status within the family hierarchy (brother surpasses me as successful, fulfills family expectations by marrying, grows taller, etc.) manifesting in the desire to regain that status.
