Hi Guys, Spoke with the dr in France...Dr Christian in Nice and told him about the Radiesse alternative. He has never done it before but said he will investigate it and get back to me in couple of days.I told him about Dr C and Dr G offering it over in North America and the the possitive experience put forward by some ppl on the internet. He said he will do research and get back to me in couple of days. The trip from UK to Florida is 500'+ and the trip from UK to Tijuana is 1000'+ so if this works out then it could be a cheaper option. The dr said he never used Radiesse for the penis but for the face and the chin for sevelral years. He said Radiesse is easy to inject compared to macrolane which he is an expert on but has no experience regarding Radiesse.Guys what do you think? Hoddle, what do you think about this? You are one of our top guys when it comes to Phalloplasty..what should the doctor know?Could you maybe have a chat with him and dump on him all the tons of knowledge you have? Yao Ming

I recently found an excellent article on achieving a significant volume expansion of the glans using injections of 12 ml per patient.

Original ArticleInternational Journal of Impotence Research (2013) 25, 117'120; doi:10.1038/ijir.2013.13; published online 4 April 2013A clinical study to assess the effectiveness of a Hyaluronic Acid-based procedure for treatment of premature ejaculation

Surgical procedureThe present study was performed according to the Helsinki declaration and local internal review board approval was obtained (it is available for viewing upon request from the Editor-in-Chief). All patients signed the informed consent. Each patient, comfortably sitting, was injected with a 28-G needle containing 1?ml of 1% lidocaine and prilocaine (Astra Pharmaceuticals, Milan, Italy) to induce local anesthesia. The circumference of the glans penis (deep connective tissue of the Corpus Spongiosum) was divided into three circles (from the base of the glans at a 1-cm distance from each other). The circles were then divided into quarter circles. An injection, containing 1?ml Hyaluronic Acid (Variofill; Adoderm GmbH, Langenfeld, Germany) was performed in the deep dermis into every quarter circle with a 27-G needle for a total of 12 injections performed in a single session (Figure 1). The patients' and partners' satisfaction was rated on the basis of a scale 1'10 (1=dissatisfied; 10=satisfied). IELT, a subjective measure defined as the time between the start of vaginal intromission and the start of intravaginal ejaculation, was evaluated for each couple. Evaluations about the increase of glans circumference and patients' and partners' satisfaction were also performed. Following the procedure, the patients did not receive any further aesthetic treatment.

The intro price is $500/vile or 1.5cc. They are offering up to 9cc for $3000. I do not know what future costs per vile will look like. Wade told me he would dilute the Radiesse with equal amounts of lidocain like Dr.Greenwald offers but my impression is that you have to ask. This is something I think is a good idea considering Dr.G has 6 years of doing the procedure this way.

How much is the into price by Dr. G?

I spoke to Dr Gs office couple of days ago and they raised the price to 2400$.I complained and said that was unfair and my cost-benefit analysis of going for Radiesse was mainly based on the pricing of Radiesse at the origal price of 18000$. The dr was nice enough to allow me to have the treatment for 1800$.I will most likely go in for a Radiesse treatment soon and see how it goes. The dr said the results will last minimum a year.If that is the case, I am willing to have 5 annual sessions to see how PMMA develops. Let me know guys what you you think of my plan.

During my first chat with him, he told me 20% increase in volume...so for my case 4.0EG*1.2= 4.8I guess the key is volume increase not inches increase. Harley man increase from 4.8 to 5.25....sounds like a 20 % increase volume wise not Inch wise.Pontest....are u considering Radiesse...what are ur plans

Yes, I\'m considering Radiesse while we can\'t say for sure what are the long term risks of PMMA
But nowadays I cannot afford Radiesse. I\'m working hard and (probably) will get a better job in two years time, so I can only have Radiesse in 2015.
And I want my surgery to be undetectable, if possible. I don\'t know yet if Radiesse fits this criteria... I know PMMA at 10% concentration does!

Now this is the procedure we need to be talking about.

The appeal of permanent fillers is alluring and something that will eventually be worked out so it is safe and with minimal side effects. And of course, reasonable gains.

But for right now, none exist. PMMA has benefits but when placed in a dynamic environment such as the penis, there can arise problems. Read the thread on swelling/pain after sex that causes inflammation. The alloderm has been reasonable but with retraction and skin Necrosis being substantial side effects, it isn\'t worth it. All other current procedures are hit or miss, usually more miss.

With temporary fillers, there is a proven track record when used in face, cheeks, etc. And now it is starting to be used in the penis and results have been pretty good. The nice thing about the use in the penis is low risk of reactions and if something does happen, non-surgical Repair.

Sure, at $1000 to $3000 a fill, it is pretty costly. But let\'s face it, penile augmentation is a vanity procedure a majority of the time. No difference between botox injections, face lifts, and the like. So once a year or every 18 months, you shell out the cash and take two days off to enjoy another years worth of increased size.

This sounds win-win to me. I expect to see more surgeons using this method and making one hell of a profit.

Hi Guys, I have had the Radiesse injections this morning. It wasnt painful at all and the doc injected two syringes just under the circumsission scar in the 10pm and 2AM angles.I have been told to massage for 4 days by stretching out the forehead and massage aggressively the penis shaft with my palm.At the moment most of the material have gathered under the circ scar on the right side. What is the best massage technique in order get best tapered end result. Cheers bros

Hi Yao:

Congrats on your procedure and best of luck with the results. I have a few questions if you don\'t mind answering...

Did Dr. G wrap you after the procedure or does he not recommend it?

How much product did he inject and is it the same for everyone (or can you request a greater/lesser amount)? Also, in terms of \"inches\" (not volume), what is your expected Girth gain?

Is he able to get the Radiesse into the area between the Circumcision scar and the glans. As we all know, this is nearly impossible to do with PMMA.

If you don\'t mind and you get a chance, please post pics. Thanks.

Hi everyone, I\'m new here but I\'ve been lurking for a couple of years. First things first, excellent forum. Kudos to the many invaluable contributors. However, I find it really disappointing that there\'s been hardly any interest in the temporary route. The possibility of long term serious complications with PMMA concerns me enough for it to not be an option for the time being. Shame there isn\'t a \'\'go to\'\' temporary procedure in the same way that PMMA seems to be the only real game in town as far as permanent solutions go.I\'m strongly considering \'\'being part of the change I wish to see\'\' and trying my luck with a temporary filler at some point. I\'ve already made inquiries with Dr. Viel\'s office, and apparently he does still offer temporary procedures, but I\'m not sure which filler he uses seeing as according to this thread he no longer offers macrolane. I\'ll try to find out more this week. I\'m also awaiting a response to an email I sent Dr. Ralph too. Hoddle, did you ever get round to asking him if he\'d offer Radiesse? Also does anyone know via what mechanism Restylane works? Does it induce collagen growth like PMMA/Radiesse, or do the gains come solely from the product itself like macrolane? Apologies if the answers to these questions have already been posted. Cheers.
