Skeptical One, when I get PMMA am I allowed to post and share my experience with everyone?
I am pretty much depressed and neurotic all the time so I was thinking this maybe rules me out?

You\'ve done a great job creating and maintaining this forum. It\'s helped me and so many others. I appreciate all you\'ve done a lot. It\'s changed my life. Bottom line: Whatever you decide it\'s all good in my mind.

Should you sell it to the highest bidder? That\'s a really good question. For example, if someone offered you a $1M then I\'d say \"Take the money and run\". You owe us nothing. We all owe you tho.

My hope would be that somehow you get the forum cleaned up and continue to run it so others like me can benefit from the knowledge you\'ve created here.

Thanks again,
CPW

From day #1 I\'ve taken pride in not only refusing any sort of \"deal\" (although none has ever been extended to me by any physician), but in making it a point that this forum was free of affiliation and agenda. The very reason this forum (well Version 1.0 at Phalloplasty.proboards.com) was made was because I was bothered by how information at MyNewSize (a now defunct PE site) was being controlled, censored, and ultimately sold to the highest bidder (Dr. Elist at the time). It really bothered me that there wasn\'t a free-flow of information and that my information about the quality or effectiveness of a procedure came from the doctor\'s office and not necessarily by reliable first-hand accounts.

And as time has gone on (site\'s inception Fall of 2010), I\'ve maintained that. But viewership has skyrocketed, costs have gone up, and I personally have little reason to dwell on penis enlargement nowadays. That\'s why it doesn\'t help that when I DO log in, I\'m inundated with a sort-of spoiled negativity that is becoming increasingly pervasive. That\'s my observation, from someone who\'s been around here for about as long as...well...day 1.

Someone did bring up \"moral\" obligations of sorts...and the most important is to have never sold out, putting countless men at risk traveling down the wrong paths...they never imagined a group of guys would come together with no financial incentive and create a message board that expels physician propaganda & shilling. I would almost certainly not sell my forum to the most notorious and unscrupulous physicians this message board\'s ever known. But for $1M, I may have to re-consider lol

Lol don\'t know if you\'re being serious but if you\'re neurotic and depressed you should neither be getting PMMA or visiting this forum. There are other avenues, PhalloBoards isn\'t one of them.

This forum has shown its propensity for support, both moral & emotional. But we aren\'t a substitute for a visit to a mental health professional.

And what you see on the forum is only but a part of the madness that has brewed on these forums. The kind of things I hear about behind the scenes in emails and PMs with myself and/or other Moderators, etc. Did you know that one of our members ended up committing murder and blamed his botched procedure for his state-of-mind? Not sure if I should have revealed that publicly, but this isn\'t a time to be making jokes if that\'s what you\'re doing.

This forum is becoming increasingly unhealthy. Before the advent of PMMA, for below-average & average sized men to attain circumferences of 5.5\" - 6.0\" was a dream, a rare feat, a wild forum success story (think Thunders, PEGym, the now-defunct MyNewSize). Now people throw around 6.0\" - 7.0\" girths like it\'s the new standard. Do you realize how insane that is? We\'ve warped our standard and perception of size and have become sucked into this mental trap of chasing numbers and never being satisfied. If you can\'t entertain this site with a level-head, you shouldn\'t be here at all quite frankly.

Yeah I\'ve read all about it, he cut a prostitutes head off
Well no I wasn\'t been serious but you took my post out of context so I thought I\'d do the same.

@ Forum Members

Anyways, thanks to all those who chimed in, even if I didn\'t agree. I\'ve heard opinions and I don\'t believe my stance has changed. Going forward, if I deem new posts or threads to be what I deem ludicrous and not appropriate tone for my forum, I\'ll likely delete said posts/threads. If you aren\'t a fan, make your own forum. Be my guest, it would hardly be competition to me since I yield no profit here. Matter of fact, maybe an alternative site will give me a reason to pack up, since I can\'t be doing this forever, right?

Chester to be quite clear I did not say Aleksk was dead weight. What I said to SO was get rid of the dead weight. If you came to your own conclusion who I was referring to you were wrong. I would call out a handfull by name but I don\'t think that would serve any purpose.

I think he did add insight as well, I called out his post count only as a reference to how openly active he is vs. what he claims his pm conversations are. He wanted SO to be transparent for the benefit of all but he himself wont post his own experiences. That was all.

And to you Mike81 I am truly flattered you read all of my posts and decided how much content I add to this forum vs. another members contributions,

Good on you mate, thats alot of reading

SO- I absolutely appreciate what you have done, and what you do for the community. I wouldn\'t want to be the one to do it. I feel like even in the last year I\'ve noticed how much this forum has devolved. I\'ve got to say though, a lot of your recent posts, when it comes to changing this board have made you come off like the kid who cries when he strikes out, and takes his baseball home. The \"my board, me, me me, I, I, I, It\'s mine,\" shit, makes you come off as immature. We get it, you contribute a lot to this community and this board wouldn\'t be here if it wasn\'t for you; there is no need to point this out every single post. Either take your ball and go home, or play ball.

btw, if a guy has dysmorphia or insecurity issues, being 7.0 or being 5.5 makes no difference.

Thebeast, all you\'ve written in your former post I summarized as \"don\'t let it go to your head ...\" However, SO has answered eloquently to all the points raised, thus, it\'s better to let-off this thread and go on as it will be.

My view is a little different as I\'m the owner of two large forums on a topic, I don\'t actually care about much anymore , but can\'t shut down as the users really need the forum, so I\'m sympathetic to the frustration of spending part of my life moderating , what is quite often a load of old rubbish.

I\'ve also been in a similar situation where I asked members not to post about certain things so many times I lost my patience and made it clear if it carried on I would ban them.

This then led to certain well known members calling me \"hitler\" etc and it really got my back up as the forum had 20,000 members and only about 10 people got annoyed the rest where fine with it but the 10 were very vocal.

It can make you feel like , why the fuck am I bothering with this, I don\'t need this shit.

That then translates to being overly confrontational with people who think a forum abides by some kind of free speech/human rights laws. It really doesn\'t, I\'m sorry it just doesn\'t.

What I would say to all members is this. I doubt hugely the mods will delete genuine concerns and frustrations with botched surgeries etc, that\'s not what I read into this at all. This is a sensitive subject and there\'s no doubt when something goes wrong with your penis you want people who\'ve been through the same to give feedback, that\'s not what it seems to me is at issue here.

All I read into this is that advanced mental health issues are best dealt with accordingly and not here. I appreciate there\'s some overlap but clearly some people here have issues that go well beyond what an extra Inch of Dick is going to solve.

My 2 cents is just chill and see how it\'s moderated, my bet is you\'ll see that very little of actual value or real concern based on real fears will be deleted and this is much ado about nothing with mods just looking to keep the forum focussed and a pleasant place to visit.

It makes me immature because I choose not to tolerate a climate of headcases? You know, you said it yourself, you wouldn\'t be the one who wants to do it. But if you were the one to do it yourself, the proper analogy wouldn\'t be the kid who cries when he strikes out, but instead, the umpire to strikes the crying kid out.

And the only reason why I\'ve been reiterating \"my\" ownership of the site recently (and mostly isolated to this thread) is because of recent comments implying how I\'m out of place when making decisions for my own forum...sometimes people forget this isn\'t a democracy. If you didn\'t figure out why I\'ve been constantly reiterating this, you need to re-read this thread.

Mind if I ask though, to you specifically...if I choose to \"take my ball and go home,\" and pull the plug on this site now, how would you feel? I mean life goes on, this is just another forum after all.

Thanks for your faith in our moderation team. And I couldn\'t have said it any better. This response sums up this forum\'s position.

Isolated to this thread, except for the discussion regarding making certain aspects of the site pay to access. What I find sort of odd about the situation, is when most of the time you maintain a \"bro\" like personality, but recently you are back to the \"take by ball and go home\" personality. I get it, we have nutjobs on the forum. Handle them, fine. But no need to rub it in everyone else\'s face that we are on \"your forum\". It\'s just off putting. Especially for those of us who have been here for a few years. In fact, I think the core members on here, would need no explanation for changes on here. No need to debate shit with people that have been here for a few weeks. I\'d find it unfortunate if this board were to close. To be honest though, I\'m not frequenting this nearly as much as before. I enjoyed the comradely, before. Now the site is devolving, and fast....
