I happen to agree with my buddy EP. Today, I am 82 days post op and still above 6\"MSEG. I\'ve also been on this roller coaster before and know that it takes many months (6+) to assess the final outcome. Regardless, retention seems higher with Metacril and I intend on receiving it R3. I hope to see SO and EP while out for R3.
PS. I need some tacos.

I can\'t see how Metacril could actually \"hold\" better than NP. I think it\'s probably just a coincidence that a few members have noticed this. The carrier surely wouldn\'t make any difference, other than possibly in terms of bead distribution and the beads will be the same. I just can\'t think of any logical reason why it would be any different.

I believe the carrier suspends the microspheres better possibly creating superior distribution. I also noticed less clumping of material as opposed to NewPlastic.

It could be coincidence, true. It would be nice if the many hundreds who have gotten this procedure (having learned it from this forum) would progress report so that we would get a better idea of whether or not things like \"retention\" are exceptions or the norm.

The new avatar sucks it distracts me while reading posts sometimes
I demand the 2 slippullingchix back, they were way easier to ignore.

Its simply all speculation.
I would like future readers or lurkers to keep in mind after finishing reading this thread and its future posts, that no matter what any user on the internet will post good or bad towards the subject of diffrent brands or pmma in general, doesnt nessecarily have to be the most correct one only because its the latest.
And you then want to make yourself belive that the post that would suit your situation the most is the right one.

Mostly u can trust bad news, unfortunately. Thats something you can relie on the most in the pe djungle.

Thanks for posting this case of pmma use with dr c. tommy.

@blank550
Its not really approved in a way in which eu tested it to the bone. (i dont know if even at all i think not, read it somewhere 2 lazy to find this now) There are many fillers in europe allowed that if the eu would test them all they would have to forbid most/ maybe even all.
So it is not approved in a way that tells us, that it is completely safe, it is just out there ready for use, for the people who are willing to take the risks.
Some Doctors dont offer it for invoking/relying on those risks. And some do offer it.
Gotta cheer the usa FDA here.

Weather those girls/women (idk their age) or any user of pmma has done no research or lots of hours
the accuring complications speak for themselfs. \"Heated\" injection material and chronic pain, great. No hipsmacking for her boyfriend.
No one will have a easy time with complications no matter how much you have read about them before. Depending on how hard they will hit on the unlucky or maybe on many unlucky persons. Men who havent decided yet have to be fully aware of this.

By the way theres a new post in the MakeMeHealthread just from yesteraday of another lady who had pmma with dr c. gonna post it risk thread for the record.

People who want to wait, wait.
If i\'ll do pmma then i will wait, for Linnea Safe at least. Because of the dr.lemperle-smartman email linked on page 1 of this thread only. And what i belive.
Probably not going for it at all.

i can already see people comming at me with rotten tomatoes. lmao

Dr. Sammy mentioned to me few months ago that Metacrill contains EDTA (he said NP does not contain it) what I read about EDTA, it has many applications (beside as a chelating and anti-coagulant agents) it can reduce infection and it can prevent clumping of cells grown in liquid suspension i.e. detaching adherent cells (it prevents joining of cadherins between cells).
So does EDTA have an effect in reducing clumping of the beads ?? ---> less chance of lumps formation ?? and could it also give more volume gain ???

Is there a way to find out if Linnea safe contains EDTA?

I\'m in the process of making the decision between Metacrill and Linnea safe.

Whatever I choose, I\'ll document the results ... If it wasn\'t for this forum Id be walking around with an Elist implant...

Hi Smartman,

While I am just one case, the New Plastic I received in similar quantity though only at 10% gave me zero lumps. The Metacryl I received in similar quantity at 20% gave me clumping. So I don\'t think that in my case EDTA did a whole lot for me. FWIW.

Hi HC,

Man I love this forum, I am really addict to it lol, even if I am in my holidy at the moment.
I do understand what you mean, thats what Dr. Samy told me about Metacrill contains EDTA and NP does not ( sure he is bias for Metacrill and I am not sure if he is telling the truth or not) but thats what i have gathered some information about EDTA but about the tween in Artefill I am 100 % sure about their function beside the strong bovine collagen carrier , but let us think about it this way :-
Lets say if you had in your 2nd rd the best PMMA product ( i.e. Artefill which has the most pure beads, a stronger longer lasting carrier bovine collagen and contains tween 80+20) instead of Metacrill 20% ----> you can still get nodules or even lumps ( as we know FDA does not approve Artefill to be injected in a dynamic organ (e.g. lips) ) even if Artefill injected in a non-dynamic area e.g. naso-labial fold they can produce nodules or lumps, imo these tween or EDTA they can help in small degree but they cannot prevent it. Could it be the 20% mixture is the reason i dont know?? The best thing is to try find someone who had NP 1st rd 10% and in the 2nd rd also NP but 20% and to compare it with the metacrill. If we could also compare the 20% and the 30% results esp. In the 2nd rd.s.
I am always interested to find the best way how to get the most pleasant aesthetic result from PMMA ( which we all understand it will be almost impossible) ;

10% with a smaller volume i.e. less than 20 cc.s, still i am thinking about the korean technique directly post injection to homogenize the filler with a roller, and to even any nodules or irregularities and the doctor should queeze them between the tip of the thumb and the index of his fingers in the clinic before wrapping the penis with an elastic bandages ( they are using it for many years of-course the difference here they use a temporary filler but they must have got great aesthetic results). It will be always a learning curve for the doctor and for us too.

No. It may help Flaccid hang albeit minimally.

I thought there was many cases that express about reduced turtiling and retraction maybe i\'m wrong???

Reduced, sure, but to what extent varies patient to patient. What PMMA doesn\'t do (not that I\'ve heard of) is eliminate Turtling & retraction altogether.

I was and am still a hardcore turtler. Prior to PMMA, it would turtle so hard that on a bad day it could be mistaken for micro condition. After PMMA, it can never get that small again, however, my penis still wants to turtle as hard as ever. It\'s just that the collagen implant inhibits the shaft from shrinking to that depressing pre-PMMA size. So it my Flaccid tends to have a better appearance when Flaccid & Turtling after PMMA, but the tendency to turtle still exists.

I know this to be the case with a lot of patients, and to the degree which Turtling is inhibited seems to vary.

Hi Guys,

I am just weighing in with my recent experience with the new branding of New Plastic now called Linnea Safe. I found that even despite a small supplement in price this was wiser for me to use than Metacryl due to my adverse results at session 2. My first session gave me perfect results, versus session 2 which was altogether another story told in my progress report as well as in a dedicated thread. Session 3 with Linnea Safe is so far a success story, today at week 4.

Of course it could be tied to an allergy to the carrying media and not to the product itself? Who knows. But I\'ll wager that anyone with such different results with two products will go towards the one that worked and not the one that didn\'t. I expect it could be the reverse for others?

Cheers,

HC
