Since there was no hair, then it was probably a reaction from the electrolysis needle. Your cream will take care of the infection.

Believe me, it is all worth it in the end!

Thanks Camphallo. It\'s been a big holiday weekend here (not sure if you are posting from the usa too) so I couldn\'t get in touch with the electrologist and what you posted really helped. The bump is still flat today and not painful like it was before. It just sort of has a little scab.

This treatment was really different than the woman I went to last time. It hurt more and I had little black marks in many follicles, and some sort of keratin plug type of thing in many others (for a week or two). I don\'t know what method she used... but she seemed more experienced than the other person.

I was debating if I wanted to keep doing it because as the hairs thin, I can just get more ingrowns (this happened on my back and I\'d have to get \"back facials\" where they would take all the ingrowns and free them - but it looked like bad back acne). Having this all over my shaft every month isn\'t really the most fun thing. These things are quite slow to heal, especially relative to the surgery I\'ve had in the area which seems to almost heal 2x faster! (And with no pain really).

These ingrowns are just like zits and I treat them with a similar regimen.

The second lady may have used a higher setting on the machine which melted the hair more. The higher the setting, the more likely you\'ll the follicle root in fewer treatments.

Do you have really curly pubic hair? Mine was relatively straight so I never did get many ingrowns. You can also reduce the chances of ingrowns by wearing clothing that makes you perspire less there and use exfoliating scrubs in between treatments.

Yeah, wear loose clothing, no underwear or loose underwear. I use baby powder on hot days before I go out and when come back home I always shower, dry and wear very loose bottoms. I have curly hair so sometimes I get ingrown hair a week or so after shaving.
