If only the United States weren\'t still holding out with the Imperial system . . .

Perhaps Supa wouldn\'t mind chiming in and telling us how he arrived at the idea that Mr Viel stopped using macrolane?Still, I\'m keeping my consultation with Mr Viel regardless. If he does still offer macrolane, great, and if he doesn\'t I can ask why and be in a better position to judge whether or not I want to go to the Doctor in Nice.

\'\'The two people I know who have had Macrolane had 50cc injected. They reported lumps and uneven contour. But if you have 50cc of any filler injected you are almost assured of a lumpy, uneven result. If I had no scar tissue, I\'d go and see Mr (not Dr, surgeons usually aren\'t in the UK) Viel tomorrow. I\'d ask for 10cc. and if all is well I\'d go back and get another 10cc a few months later.\'\'Hoddle, as you probably know from the video, Dr Christian uses 20ml syringes. If having 10ml injected costs the same as 20ml because of set size syringes, you\'d obviously end up paying double if you had 20 ml injected in 2 procedures compared to if you had it all in one. So just to play devil\'s advocate, if the problems people experienced were down to having volumes as large as 50ml injected, is having as little as 10ml injected perhaps a little over cautious? Do you not think reducing the amount from 50 to 20ml would already be enough of a decrease?I\'m about to email Dr Christian to ask if there\'s any wiggle room regarding prices and injection volumes.

It may be over cautious, but I\'d just feel more comfortable doing it like that.

I wouldn\'t worry too much about the price though, as Macrolane will need yearly to ups. So in the long run, paying double for 10cc isn\'t going to be a big deal. If it works nicely and you feel you could accommodate more, then just get 20cc next time. 20cc is still a lot. I think you\'d get over a 1.5 cm gain with that.

You could ask Mr Viel and Dr Christian about Radiesse. We have a member who gained 0.35\" and it\'s still there a year later. With such small amount injected, even if you do have a FBG, you\'d have to wonder if it would even be a big deal.

How much did he have injected, who injected him, and how much did he pay? Did he initially gain more than 0.35 or has the original gain remained the same for a year?Does the size and seriousness of granulomas correspond to the amount of volume injected?Your responses are appreciated mate.

He had 3cc of Radiesse injected and it was mixed with 3cc of anesthetic. I don\'t think he originally gained any more, I think it\'s been pretty steady at that size. I think he paid $1800 but had to fly to Florida to Dr Grenwald. We had another UK guy do the same, but he gained just 0.2\", so it\'s a long way to go, for possibly such small gains.

I\'d imagine FBG size does respond to the amount injected. For example, it the buttock, there have been granulomas the size of rocks, whilst that doesn\'t happen in the face, so there has to be a correlation between amount and seriousness.

Personally I don\'t think it\'s much safer to have larger injections of Radiesse than PMMA. However, if one could get a nice 0.3-0.4\" gain for a year, with very little injected, it could be an okay short term solution. But I\'m not convinced even those modest gains would be consistently achieved with just 3cc injected. If it could be done in London it might be worth considering, but there is no way I\'d fly to Florida, to have 3cc\'s.

The reversibility, higher gains, and alleged lower risk of granulomas is making me lean closer to macrolane I think. Plus I\'m looking for at least a 0.5 Inch gain eventually [whether that be in one procedure or 2 as we\'ve discussed]. 0.75 in an ideal world. But if Mr Viel refuses to do macrolane I\'ll certainly enquire about Radiesse. Have you met Mr Viel? How open to suggestions do you think he\'ll be regarding what filler I request? Let\'s say for instance he stopped using macrolane for whatever reason; do you think he could be convinced to make an exception and use it if I explained our conservative and gradual approach?

I\'ve had surgery with Mr Viel.

If he\'s stopped using Macrolane, I doubt he\'d do it just for you, as he probably likes to bulk buy the fillers he uses.

What Dr. Christian Oudot had to say in response to questions I recently emailed him:\'\'I think that an injection in two Times of 10 ml Will not cause any damage and IS more safe.I like Radiesse but ONLY for the face and not for the penis. For the glands , i inject ONLY since 18 months but with out any kinds of side effects. It\'s very confortable but less spectacular than in the penis.\'\'

Thanks for the update. Did he say anything about the price of a 10cc session as opposed to his standard 20cc?

No problem. I enquired about price in the original email but it may\'ve been lost in translation, so I just sent a second email. Will update when I hear back.
