TOPIC: PMMA REMOVAL

Sorry about the side angle. This was taken today, 31 days after the incision. It is healing well. A little bumpy but over okay. What do you guys think?

My doc said 3-6 mos before evaluating scrotal incisions. I think it\'ll look fine eventually. Obviously, you\'re close to surgery now.

It\'s similar to mine, but mine goes further down because they detached the skin of the Balls from the penis. It\'s gross - I put gauze on it still (14 days post) and there is yellowish fluid every morning. Just a little...and not infected - but still 2 weeks later, it\'s annoying. Is yours totally closed up? That\'s by FAR the most important thing. If it\'s closed, it\'ll heal eventually. If it doesn\'t close, that can be a major complication.

I\'m not leaking but I saw my doctor today and he said it still wasn\'t closed up completely. He then said he doesn\'t want to add stitches b.c then there could be problems. He said the healing happens from the inside and just to leave it alone (don\'t masturbate/touch it)

I\'m seeing my Urologist in 10days and hoping he gives me a better rundown of the situation. The side is bumpy and I\'m just hoping it smoothes out.

With you, leaking puss isn\'t necessarily a bad thing. Urologist said its better to have that stuff out, then in. Makes sense.

I had my first \"full\" Erection since the surgery and it actually looks a lot better than I thought, though a lot thinner than I thought in that area (it looks like a normal Dick again at least - without 2 hard plastic edges sticking out). So, about 1/4-1/2\" Girth is gone there (hard to tell exactly). Maybe it\'s closer to 1/4\". It feels a lot thinner, even though that\'s not a lot of size per se. He took out a segment 5 x 3.5 x 1 cm (so that\'s 18cc of \"size\" basically). In my hand, it was strangely thin to me. It\'s basically my original penis in that area. 3 rounds of PMMA are out - but it looks better and doesn\'t feel like 2 hard jagged edges are going to cut you (and those hard edges kind of hurt me too being under my skin like that). The rest of the PMMA is hard but it\'s not sticking out.

He kind of stopped the excision abruptly, so there\'s a Nodule above it. I can tell it\'s still swollen a little (has that watery feeling). Maybe that will go down... not sure. I\'m still sore under my shaft where the incision is, so I didn\'t want to stay hard for long.

Also, after the scrotoplasty, my skin is much better - like it\'s not pulling so hard on my Balls when I am hard. So, it was a big improvement in those two ways, though there is still a lump that sticks out because of where he stopped.

The worst thing is that one of my stitches opened and still hasn\'t healed (like I am cursed with some wound healing problem - repeating what happened a year ago). I think again, having PMMA close to a wound, makes the wound resistant to closure (another board member PMed me with this issue and went to see my doc). Wound care specialists say that you never want a foreign body in a wound or it will have a hard time closing. The openings dr. C makes are far smaller, so they close more easily.

yungwildfree- do you mind I\'m posting all this in the thread you started? I figured since you had the topic, it would make more sense to post it here. It\'s weird to see how similar our situations were with this too.

The Tijuana team always told me to press on the Nodule with your fingernail. Maybe that will help.

Don\'t worry about the opened up stitch. It will heal but id advise you to see your local doctor and have him check it out. They\'ve seems and heard everything so your incision wont be the least bit surprising.

Does anybody know what happened to the guy who had a foreign body reaction to PMMA?
He posted about it about a month before the site when down, as Hoddle said around the same time as Hulk had his piercing issue.
He posted a picture and it looked extremely misshapen and swollen, but said 2 weeks prior it look perfectly normal.
He also said the he had a long distance relationship and that he had planned to meet his girlfriend in the Caribbean in a week or so but may have to cancel because of his situation.
If anyone hears about what happened to him or knows who he is please let us know.
