Re: CONSIDERING PMMA INJECTIONS?by Carolina1 ' Tue Jun 05, 2012 4:58 pmI did not go back to his office, but he did suggest the kenalog when I called the office. I was scared after reading the post below from Jen to visit the office again:http://www.plasmetic.com/forums/upper-l ... tions.html\"I did it with Dr. Casavantes in Tijauana, but we had a falling out. I tried to ask him about how it came out with a bump/overfilled in some areas and he took offense that I should make any complaint saying I forced him to fill a fourth time when he thought we should stop at 3 so after spending thousands he wouldn\'t talk to me about what I could do about it. Is not liek the worst thing and I still look better than before, but still I spent a lot of money for him to get really rude and nasty to me. Plus, I didn\'t do the buttock area. Some people say it is painful there because you will have to sit on it. I did the hips and I can lie on them fine on my soft bed, it is prolly less sensitive now than it was intially but not it has been a number of years, not sure how many any more. There is another place in Tijuana, but I\'ve never been, I forget their name offhand, but if u google I\'m sure u can find it. I was thinking to go back to them one day to do the touch ups that Dr. C refused to discuss. My butt sags right now so I need to first have surgery to take up some skin\"

Also, thanks for post #452. I don\'t think mrgoodbar808 understood my response. Sorry to hear that you are experiencing complications.

by Carolina1 ' Mon Jun 04, 2012 4:21 pm I had to do because I literally was mistaken for a man in the past and my life is embarrassing and unhappy not having the shape of a woman

\" insist on getting solid silicone implants at a US doctors office.\"

not to cast doubt on this story or anything.... but doesnt it seem odd a \"WOMAN\" would have any inkling about phalloplasty and P.ELet alone have enough insight apparently to \"insist\" upon getting the silicone implant....just my 2 cents

Why would you paste together seperate comments from 2 different posters on that site and make it appear that you quoted something I posted? Clearly Caroline1 was talking about silicone hip implants. As far as a \"WOMAN\" knowing about phalloplasty, you are aware that the docter members have been using for their penis procedures in Prague is a woman!

ahh i understand...my apologies, as i am operating on a mobile device

He\'s posted about it in his progress report:
\"I clearly have a nodule at the right lower base. It is located 1.25 inches from the base on the right and slightly below the shaft. It is slightly palpable when flaccid and very evident by feel when fully erect. It is slightly larger than a kidney bean. It is not painful but when fully erect I am aware of it.I consulted with a plastic surgeon that has experience with Artefil complications. He feels that it is clearly a nodule but would need a biopsy to confirm. It should be easily removed with a punch incision If I so desire. Kenalog will not be effective because it is mostly likely clumped PMMA material with very little cellular material for the Kenalog to reduce/destroy.\" phalloboards.websitetoolbox.com/post/Say...-PP-5760548?trail=45

I think the reason for the questions about EQ\'s complications is that EQ refers to a range of complications above, so it is not clear whether he is experiencing something more than what is discussed in his very informative progress thread.

Anyone considering PMMA for the first time needs to carefully read CHL\'s latest post. It is disturbing and I commend him for being brave enough to share his case.

In my opinion PMMA penile enhancement is a bad idea. I endured a botched penile surgery over a decade ago. The pain, emotional suffering, guilt, and trauma can not be understood unless you have been through a similar ordeal. I feel this forum looks at Phalloplasty with rose tinted glasses and CHL brings some balance to the forum which is heavily biased to support PMMA doctors.

CHL my hat is off to you. If you save one guy from my tragedy you have accomplished more than most men. best of luck to you.

Hi Bigben, could you tell us a little more about your botched surgery? What type of PE surgery was it and who performed it? What were the problems?
BTW the forum doesn\'t look at Phalloplasty through rose tinted glasses, but some members arguably do.

This forum views Phalloplasty with rose tinted glasses? With all due respect, the overwhelming consensus of Moderators & Forum Veterans have always been to err on the side of caution. Many of us here can appreciate the risks involved with Phalloplasty, including the recently trending PMMA. The imbalance seen here is a consequence of individuals choosing whether or not to share their experiences. I have long encouraged CHL to post his experiences to help bring balance to what has been a positively-trending method (PMMA). Out of the many hundreds of members here who have certainly gotten the procedure done, it\'s safe to say there are other similar \"CHL\'s\" out there. But I (or the forum) cannot do anything about the balance of information if those certain members refuse to share their experiences. Instead of pointing your finger at this forum, why don\'t you point your finger at the \"X\" number of patients who have had issues but have chosen to withhold it from the forum. I\'m just as eager as anyone to learn of all risks involved with any given procedure. I get the impression you are a total newbie to PB, I strongly recommend you read all of the Old & New PB before making such regrettable remarks. And be thankful information on Phalloplasty exists at all, and you are so ridiculously fortunate to have it on a website with no affiliation to doctors or products (cough...MyNewSize...cough), and which for the most part is free!

@Hoddle Dr Mel Rosenstein performed fat injections and lig cut on me many years ago in Los Angeles. Like others I had many complications but the multiple infections were the biggest issue as they led to fibrosis and eventually caused permanent ED.

@SkepticalOne Pointing the finger at unfortunate victims of penile mutilation in my opinion is not fair. They have already been victimized once. Do they have to be re-traumatized on a public forum ? I do not fault anyone in particular here but my main concern is that positive testimonials regarding PMMA are accepted without question, yet negative results seem to face resistance.

I am not saying the site is sponsored by the PMMA doctors but lets be honest I bet 90% of their patients come from websites like this and yes they do read the feedback.

There is quite a bit of incentive to give your doctor praise if you are going to see him again for future treatment or fear you may have a complication down the road. You have effectively gained his grace and may potentially receive enhanced overall treatment. Who knows he might even give you favorable pricing if your comments lead to new referrals. This is how the game is played and unfortunately I had to learn it the hard way, no one explained it to me.. When all is said and done with Phalloplasty doctors it all comes down to money, otherwise they would have picked a more mainstream field of medicine. I warn you, you don\'t really know the integrity of the person you are dealing with until you see how they handle things when something goes wrong.

If you post unfavorable commentary more than likely the doctor won\'t mention it but he likely will not do same caliber job he does with the \"cheerleader\" patients.

Worse, what if he gets angry at you and tells you not to some back and your penis is not filled evenly or you encounter complications that require treatment ? Trust me, now you are in a bind because not many surgeons want to fix another doctors bad handy work especially when they know the outcome will likely not be optimum..

My point is once you move forward there is no turning back and the PE doctor has all of the leverage. This is why negative reports are seldom and you really can not accurately gauge the percentage of guys who had a bad outcomes based on website testimonials. And it is conceivable that some of the guys that post glowing reports on this website may be less complementary about their results if you talked to them privately, when they can speak candidly without fear of jeopardizing their relationship with the doctor.

It is just my personal opinion but I think the real numbers are likely poor for PMMA Girth injections, otherwise the doctors would publish double blind controlled studies to validate the safety and satisfaction of the procedures just like they do in legitimate areas of medicine.

Sorry if my post sounds hostile as I mentioned there are very few speaking on behalf of those of us who suffered from PE medical failures. As I tried to convey, I am not pointing the finger at anyone in particular, but showing the problems are an artifact of how the PE industry is structured.

Yes, I have no qualms with laying the burden on those who come and take advantage of the forum\'s content, then turn around and fail to make use of it at the most critical time. More men may be subject to \"harm\" by those certain few who choose to remain silent.
Furthermore, 90% of probably most phalloplasty procedures will be researched via this forum. What happens to trend (which is dictated by those who choose to contribute) will tip the balance in favor (or disfavor) of a method. There are patients with negative silicone implant outcomes, and they do our forum justice by sharing their information. The same is to be expected of our PMMA patients. I (nor the forum as a whole) can dictate the flow of information, it is up to our members to contribute. I couldn\'t have been more supportive of CHL, as can be demonstrated by my willingness to provide him a non-discussion thread.
I understand the sensitivity of a patient\'s relationship with their doctor, and consequently, their approach to sharing information about their procedure online. However, there isn\'t much I can do about this. One must hope that a forum member is willing to be as transparent as possible. If I can offer some tips, here are some that come to mind: Firstly, members don\'t need to reveal their online alias to their doctors. Secondly, members can post/exhibit their aesthetic issues, complications, etc in an objective, neutral manner which means that same member wont have to express pleasure/displeasure with the doctor in question. Lastly, members can remind themselves how priceless it was when pioneers before them shared all that good, bad, and the ugly. I recall a former Moderator (name EP) who had fantastic results but had no issue documenting every little nodule and irregularity. He did it in such a professional, civil, objective way, that I can\'t see why it would have aggravated the relationship he had with his physician.
And I appreciate your \"warnings\" but I\'ve been around long enough to appreciate a lot of the industry bull shit. Were you familiar with the web forum MyNewSize? It was owned and operated by phallo-docs, and it lead to propaganda and censorship. Phalloboards was put together in response to that. If you are insinuating that I would even state things on the record for \"enhanced services\", you are treading down the wrong road good sir. I\'ve put too much time and heart into this forum to deal with some newbie\'s musings.
Again, you are clearly new here, and I ask that you read all the posts on the Old & New PB before resuming your posts here. You say you speak on behalf of a few who have suffered? Do you have any idea the \"suffering\" many of our Moderators and Forum veterans have experienced before making their way to this forum? You aren\'t some kind of new voice, and you need to do a lot more contributing than 5 posts before making these analyses quite frankly.

I think we are on the same page regarding reporting. I have never had PMMA injected but if I did and the results were bad I would not reveal my identity to the doctor by posting lots of medical details pics, ect.. But yes it would be good if more guys could post their opinion when things don\'t go as planned even if it is anonymously.

However I made it clear I had no personal qualms with anyone here yet you took my post very personally. Why ?

I have read the forum for over 12mo. Are all of my posts dismissed as \"newbies musings\" until I reach a certain number of messages ?

Yes I am quite familiar with MNS, it was a sham. I do not doubt you have put a lot of work into this website. Nevertheless if I was a potential PMMA patient I would treat all information on the internet regardless of the website with a grain of salt. If your site is truly agnostic than surely you agree with me.

I also enjoyed Evil P\'s commentary. It was odd he deleted all his posts.

Bigben wrote: However I made it clear I had no personal qualms with anyone here yet you took my post very personally. Why ?

Well because I\'m annoyed when the forum is made out to be the problem when it is in fact one tool of many to help solve (or avoid) problems. Your posts were suggestive, and I simply didn\'t like it.
I\'m proud of this site, and I\'m reminded all the time by PMs & emails of how many guys who have found help, solace, and/or clarity. It\'s very personal.
Food for thought: Imagine I take a 1 year break from Administrating this site, and also decided to strip all the Moderators of their powers. Could you imagine then what this forum would end up looking like a year from now? Just some food for thought...

Bigben wrote: I have read the forum for over 12mo. Are all of my posts dismissed as \"newbies musings\" until I reach a certain number of messages ?

Yup. Online forums are unique places in that you begin to really appreciate a member\'s insight from their continuous online submissions. This is why seniority is respected here. There is no arbitrary # of posts set, just realize that in order to be taken seriously, you need to get involved in the discussion as it pertains to PE and your own experiences.
I mean, no offense, but you\'ve spent 12 months without bothering to share your story? Don\'t you think it would have benefited many men to read one more additional story of a phallo-procedure gone wrong? All this \"lack of balance\" talk on PhalloBoards and we\'re now just learning about your story?

Bigben wrote: Yes I am quite familiar with MNS, it was a sham. I do not doubt you have put a lot of work into this website. I agree entirely. I\'m the first and the last to scream in every PM/email I write the need to be an informed decision maker. This forum is only one of many resources available to those willing to do the work.

Bigben wrote: I also enjoyed Evil P\'s commentary. It was odd he deleted all his posts.

I\'m not at liberty to disclose his personal affairs, but suffice it to say he left the forum due to \"career\" reasons, and not PE reasons. I check in with him from time to time, last I heard he\'s been doing pretty good.
I ask we resume the topic of this thread. If you wish to resume this commentary, feel free to PM me.

Thank you for the reply SO. My original surgery was in 1995. PE was actually quite big back then, but the web was still in its infancy. My doctor \"the butcher of culver city\" was forced out of practice in 1996 due to litigation. I estimate there are 1000\'s of guys who suffered the same fate as me under his hands. At one point I heard he was performing 50 operations per week.

I have developed quite a bit of empathy and compassion for others since my experience and hate to see others suffer. That was my only purpose for posting so please do not take any of my comments as an attempt to discredit you or the board. BB
