How long ago did you have the procedure?

My understanding is that aesthetics can be corrected with follow-up visits, but to what extent is hard to say, since \"aesthetic satisfaction\" is subjective and varies patient to patient.

first session march 12

touch up session was in September (touch up session made it worse )

there is tight skin around the base and it\'s caused the filler to move up towards looser skin around the mid area before it set. So i have about 1.5inch less around the base then mid section and it\'s quite clumpy in that area

i dont want to add more and then the same thing happen.

In regard to walkonpart\'s issue. I think this is a great example of what I discussed in my thread. I think it is a good idea to gently pump your penis at least 2 or 3 times before receiving PMMA, not to make it permanently larger, but to see the shape of it when the size is increased. I would never have realized that the skin between my circ scar and glans is much looser than at the base if I hadn\'t pumped and seen the bowling pin shape. I told Wade and Dr.C about it before the procedure and they both said that it was very valuable information to have. I believe that is also the reason that they only used 10% in that area and 30% in the tighter spots. I know this doesn\'t offer any insight into a solution for walkonpart\'s situation, but it could be helpful to someone in the future. Walkonpart, I am extremely sorry for your misfortune. It is terrible when one of us has issues like this. I hope that you find a solution quickly. Best of luck to you buddy. Keep us posted!!

Due to the responses to the question I am going to say there is no surgical correction or Removal of nodules or lumps to the PMMA results. I hope there is something that can be done in your situation walkonpart. Best of luck to you, hang in there.

This could be terrible advice and I\'m just saying what I\'d try. I\'d apply DMSO with paba once a day one the bulge and DMSO with iodine once per day. After each application has dried, I\'d wrap the bulge and massage at several intervals throughout the day. I\'d do this for a month and see if it made any difference. But I\'m not sure how the DMSO and PMMA would react, so as I said before I\'m just saying what I\'d try and not advising you to do this.

If the DMSO doesn\'t have the desired effect, then you could start applying steroid cream to the bottom Inch were the PMMA hasn\'t settled. Over time this should thin the skin and make it more stretchy (ie compliant). You could then have a bit more in that area and keep the bulge tightly wrapped for a week, so the PMMA doesn\'t migrate and settle there as it has in your previous procedures. Basically you need to manipulate the skin, as any filler will settle where there is least resistance.

Btw, this should serve as a warning to all lurkers. Start progress threads and post photos. I know it\'s easy to say this now, but if I\'d see a bulge like that before the touch up, I\'d have recommended wrapping. I keep talking about skin compliance and that Dr\'s (not just Dr C, but all FFT Dr\'s as well) don\'t seem to get it\'s significance. This is what causes the \"ring\" and it is what it causing the issue\'s some have at the base. The only way to manipulate it is via tight wrapping.

I\'d be careful about using a steroid cream as a method to make the skin more compliant. Yes, it will thin the skin but it can also damage it. I speak from experience here-years ago I prescribed a strong steroid cream to take care of a recurring issue on my shaft. I\'ve used it over the years without being fully aware of the effects that a strong steroid can have on the thin skin in that area, and now that particular section always has issues with skin breakage.

You wouldn\'t use steroid cream on the shaft, as the skin there is naturally thin. The area I\'m talking about is the non compliant skin at the bottom of the penis. Basically the first Inch of the penis where the pubic hair covered skin is pulled up the shaft and there is no PMMA. This is much thicker and thus far less compliant. If it\'s particularly tight in that area, the PMMA wont settle and the pressure will cause for it to move to areas where there is less resistance. Shaft skin naturally has little resistance by design it\'s meant to expand in order to accommodate erections. The pubic skin at the base it totally different and doesn\'t stretch and expand.

In order to try and fix walkonpart\'s problem I think he needs to make the skin at the bottom a little more compliant, hence the steroid cream and the shaft skin less compliant, hence the wrapping. Hopefully then if a little more PMMA is injected, the shin should stretch and accommodate it, whilst the stretchy shaft skin should be too tight (due to wrapping), so the PMMA doesn\'t move to that area and make the bulge worse.

I\'d apply DMSO mixture twice a day, once in the morning and once at night to the area inside the green lines. Hopefully that will soften the some of the lumps.

I\'d then start applying steroid cream the area inside the blue lines, going right around the penis. Hopefully over time this will give that area more stretch. As Ripple points out, you do need to be careful, as you don\'t want to damage the skin and keep it off the real shaft skin.

I\'d then go back and have a small amount of PMMA injected at the base to make it a bit wider. The skin should stretch after steroid treatment and not squeeze the PMMA up the shaft. But even so, I\'d wrap the bulge area inside the green lines as soon as the procedure is done and keep the wrap on for the next few weeks.

Hey Hoddle, if you dont\' mind me asking, what do you think would be the best kind of wrapping to use to try and keep the PMMA in place from bulging? I was thinking maybe something that was thick enough to make an impact, but at the same time soft enough to not cause a problem.

Also, I\'m wondering, (and this is just an idea) I know that there is an injection that some doctors use to possibly tighten up the tissue or cause lumps to absorb into the larger areas. I\'m thinking it has something to do with collagen, but I can\'t think of the name. Again, it might not be a good idea, but I figured I would throw it out there if there is any possible case it would help walkonpart.

Hang in there Walkonpart.

I wish you luck walkonpart. If you do use the DSMO I\'d be very interested in the results. DSMO is known to soften collagen, but it should also slowly dissolve the PMMA over time. I\'m not a chemist or biologist, so I\'m not sure how long it would take to dissolve the PMMA, many years I would think. I was researching this about 6 months ago and always looked at it as a possible solution if my body started to reject the PMMA down the road.

It\'s difficult to say as I haven\'t had PMMA myself. But a soft silicone sleeve is ideal for most of these kind of things. What you want is something that is tight enough to the skin to stop it expanding and creating a bulge, but soft enough to expand and accommodate erections. Coban bandages can be good also, but they don\'t expand as well during erections.

The ideal solution in me opinion is to buy a penis extension sleeve like this one:

www.lovehoney.co.uk/product.cfm?p=61

The reason this is so good as it\'s designed to be worn when erect, so we know it\'s okay to sleep with, as if you get an erection it\'s not a problem as the silicone is soft enough to expand. Just cut off the penis part, throw it away (or keep it if you want) and use the sleeve as a bandage.

That\'s what I was thinking and mentioned it to other members. I think one of our members did use it for a while on some lumps.

I know where to buy some syringes of generic PMMA filler. It would be interesting to mix a syringe with DMSO and leave it for a few months and then put it under a scope.
